It's been lonely without you guys. As many of you may know, I am having some severe connection problems that I have no control over. Being at the mercy of the campground supplied wi-fi is the price the full time RV'er has to pay for the ability to access the internet.
Connections range the gamut from poor to great, free to "how can they get away with that?". I don't mind paying for my internet be it in the campground fee to buying monthly service from a local provider. However, I do want it to work well and work consistently. Lately our service here has been extremely spotty with many disconnects and slow downs. The owner keeps saying it's because there are so many people using it but that is suspect as on weekends when the campground is full we have pretty good service. During the week there are many times when I am either unable to get online or it's so slow that it may take 20 minutes or more to be able to compile the items I need to make a short welcome message on the forum.
I now have a usage monitor on my computer so I may analyze my usage and decide what I am going to have to do to ensure good connections. We are reluctant to get another satellite dish for wi-fi mainly for space considerations(where the heck do we put the darn thing for travel)to set up aggravation(Hubby does the outside stuff) We are not in a motorhome so the roof is out of the question.
