Wow, what a soggy week. The South getting whammed by Ike, we are getting saturated by TD Lowell with Ike supposed to be here tomorrow. Thinking about our friend Skychick in Houston and SunGirl in Louisiana and hoping good things for them.
Now, they are jacking up the fuel prices in parts of the South East, because we MIGHT have a fuel shortage due to possible damage from Hurricane Ike. They didn't even wait for the storm to hit before they had that price changer out. This ought to be interesting because we are heading for Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina where they are price change happy. Luckily we use diesel so we may be less affected than you people that drive those gasoline inhalers.
We have been piddling around in the rain today getting in the plants so they can dry out somewhat before I have to tuck them in their travel position, working inside taking down loose decorative items (flying objects are not fun) and just generally double checking what we have already done.
Tomorrow, as the hours tick by, we will start putting away the things we will not be using until we stop again. A last run to the grocery is a must for sandwich fixings and all those things you realize you have to have. Our computers will be the last to be locked down just before we leave. We have this down to a science after all these years and it only takes a few minutes even for my big desktop.Weather willing the circus hits the road Mondaymorning.
Y'all take care and we'll see you down the road.
